NSAA State Memorial Day was held on the 18 July 2018 at the State Memorial situated in Puckapunyal Memorial Park, PMA. Even though the day was windy there was a great turnout with many forming up ready for the march down to give eyes left at the saluting dais where MAJGEN Jim Barry AM MBE RFD ED Ret took the salute. In front of the Memorial were 50 crosses for those who had fallen since march 2017, Lest We Forget.
The day was supported by the 5/6 RVR Pipes and Drums who always provide excellent support. the service was presided over by CATC Senior Chaplin Don Kaus and NSAA State Chaplain COL Rusty Adams.
At the completion of the service we all move to the base cricket club for lunch where Freddie and Sam were hard at work BBQing sausages for everyone. people sat around chatting and catching up with people they hadn’t seen in a while.
Rusty Adams kept everyone entertained with his ukulele and sing along.
Looking forward to next year to be held on the 17th March 2019
